Introduction
This study explores the geopolitical ramifications of Türkiye’s support for Azerbaijan during the Second Karabakh War, particularly focusing on the resulting shifts in political rhetoric among leaders from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The conflict not only reshaped military alliances but also profoundly influenced diplomatic interactions, particularly within the Organization of Turkic States. Situating this inquiry within the broader contexts of International Relations and Central Asian regional dynamics, this research illuminates the significant role of rhetorical shifts in understanding Türkiye’s evolving geopolitical influence in the region.1 This investigation seeks to understand how the rhetoric of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan’s leaders towards Türkiye has transformed following the Second Karabakh War.
